We categorise repairs depending on their urgency. Listed below are the categories,
target response times and examples of the type of repairs that fall into each
category.
EMERGENCY
Target response: 2 hours to make safe.
Target completion: 24 hours to restore service.
This category covers repairs which are necessary to:
- Prevent serious damage to the fabric of the building.
- Preserve safety, health or security of the tenant or his/her belongings.
Some follow up work may be required under the URGENT or ROUTINE categories.
URGENT
Completion target: 3 working days
This category covers repairs which if left unattended would seriously affect
the comfort or convenience of the occupier or the normal use of the property.
ROUTINE
Completion target:
Electrical works - 5 working days
All other trades - 10 working days *
This category covers the majority of other repairs which Linstone is responsible
for and which do not seriously affect the occupiers’ enjoyment of their
home.
* Some items which have to be purpose made or specially ordered may take longer.
The Association also has a non-critical category for repairs. This is for work
which is safe to leave meantime and can most cost effectively be carried out
as part of a larger contract or under different weather conditions.
