Who We Are » Management Committee » Their Role
The Association’s Committee is elected annually at its AGM, which usually takes place in September. The maximum number of people who may normally sit on our Management Committee is fifteen. The Committee
role is to determine the policies of the Association and have overall responsibility for the running of the organisation, although this is delegated to the senior staff on a day to day basis. Some of the main functions include: - Approving budgets
- Employment of staff
- Review of policies
- Review of future maintenance programmes
- Major decision making and organisational direction
- Ensuring Association meets Health and Safety Good Practice/legislation
As you can see from above the Management Committee has the major role to play in ensuring the success of the Association. We are always keen to hear from
interested parties who may wish to become involved. We are happy for you
to observe a meeting before deciding whether you would wish to become part of the committee. If you are interested in finding out more about the Management Committee please contact the Association.
Generally the Committee meets every 6 weeks.
The Association currently has three Sub Committees – Finance; Technical/Development and Housing Management. These meet either on a bimonthly or quarterly basis depending on the sub committee.
